I've not always been a fan of log stickers (you know, the personalized ones cachers put in a log instead of just signing it with a pen). My first encounters with log stickers have mostly been in micro's where they took up a lot more then the space intended for 1 cacher, and they didn't look very nice either. But recently I've come across more and more stickers appropriately sized for the log they were put in and it's been fun recognizing the same stickers in different cachers. Also a cacher I've recently done a caching day with showed me hers, she made different sizes for different size logs. Since then I've done a few caches she's also done and that still had the same logbook and it was fun to be able to find her logs easily because of the sticker. So I finally decided to give it a try myself, and here's my new geocaching sticker design.
Well, it's here. My Satmap Active 10 plus! The first dedicated gps for me after using my Google G1 phone.
Before I tell you about geocaching on the Satmap I'll just show you a couple of mapping screenshots from the Netherlands South 1:25k card.
I was introduced to geocaching by my brother on January 10, 2009, shortly after he started. I found my first cache 3 days later, using my Nokia 9500 communicator phone and a bluetooth GPS receiver. After 5 geocaches I went to LA with a friend and 'infected' her as well. With her tomtom to get to the location and my phone for precise searching we found 10 caches.
Welcome to my new Geocaching page where I shall record my geocaching experience.
